All you need: a card reader

All you need to make Internet payments with your GeldKarte is a compatible card reader for your PC, a so-called "class 3 reader" that has both a secure pinpad, and a display.

The payment procedure is quite simple:

• The online shop's "shopping cart" shows the amount payable.
• A little pop-up window opens and asks you to insert your GeldKarte into your smart card reader: Insert the GeldKarte.
• Confirm the online retailer by pressing the card reader's "OK" button.
• Confirm the amount displayed on the card reader by pressing the "OK" button a second time – you do not need to use your PIN.
• Both the pop-up window and the card reader confirm the payment and the credit balance on your GeldKarte is shown.
