Are you a student? – Then you might have a GeldKarte in your schoolbag.
Both schools and universities nowadays use the GeldKarte as student ID. These white cards for students often combine the convenient cashless payment offered by the GeldKarte with other chip applications such as e-ticketing and access control.
GeldKarte at schools and unversities: many advantages
You can use your GeldKarte in many ways:
- On your way to school you can pay for bus and train tickets without cash.
- Use the card in photocopiers and telephones, as well as in coffee or snack vending machines
- As important registration data is stored in the microchip, formalities such as registration and changing address can be done much less bureaucratically.
- Separate library cards are not necessary – you don't have to request another card.
